Donette W. Woon

She's Restored Leader

I am Donette W. Woon, a healing facilitator for She's Restored and a volunteer at the Options 360 Women's Clinic.  I am a redeemed child of Christ, was born and raised in the Mormon Church.  At the age of 8, I was born again at a Tent Revival.

At a very young age, I already had a holy reverence for our Father God.  Unfortunately, there was no discipline, study, or knowledge of the Bible; and because of a dysfunctional, alcoholic parent, I grew up wanting to run away from home.  I moved out with my high school boyfriend at 16 and soon after we got married with the encouragement of our parents.  We got pregnant shortly after that, and both he and my mom (who was an alcoholic), pushed me to the edge, relentlessly, to get rid of the baby. It was a horrific experience and spiritual warfare for me.  I felt I heard God say “no”, but I was so distraught and terrified that I finally succumbed to the pressures of my husband and mom.  I traveled 504 miles from Idaho to Seattle for the procedure.  Much hurt and resentment formed in my heart after that.

At age 18, we were pregnant again.  He and my mom convinced me again to have another abortion. Words can’t even express the amount of physical and emotional pain I endured.  Unaware of how bitter I had become towards these two people, I crashed hard. I began to spiral, living a self-destructive lifestyle of adultery, alcohol, drugs, and partying.  I used all of this to cope and numb the crushing pain.

In 1980 I had a strong and insatiable desire to become pregnant, because of all the guilt that I was experiencing. I met a young man, lived with him, and got pregnant right away, with my son. We moved to Washington State to get away from family and problems; so, we thought. God had a miraculous plan. We were born again, and then married, (In that order). The sanctification process began. Several marriages later, Jesus is still patient with me. He never gave up on me.

It took 13 years and 3 children later for me to seek help for my abortions through a post-abortion healing group. By God's grace, I am in a new wonderful, Lasting, redemptive, marriage.  Because of a desire to help and serve, Father God put in my heart (in the 90's) and again in 2016, to start volunteering at Options 360 Women's Clinic.

With SOZO Counseling and the long and slow healing process; God led me to our current church, to Pastor Jess; and the She's Restored Program, in 2021. I Thank God for the miraculous, truly life-changing, experience I have received through the program. I'm Forever Grateful to the Lord, for leading and directing my path there.
